Who are we?

Tasman Transcription is a professional transcription service founded by Miriam Lynch, who cultivated her eye for detail and accuracy with 20 years’ experience as a legal secretary.  Subsequently, Miriam had a successful career in banking and spent 10 years in the banking industry in London.

She now leads a team of professional transcriptionists, with more than 25 years’ experience. You’ll find we provide an exceptional online audio digital transcription service to a wide range of clients.

Miriam Lynch

Managing Director

Prior to setting up Tasman Transcription, I was the Global Legal Business Manager for an investment bank in London. I returned to New Zealand in 2008 and set up Tasman Transcription in 2015.

With a background in law and banking, I have a keen eye for detail. 

I have a typing speed of approximately 85 wpm. I am proud of the work that we do, that our clients trust us to transcribe their stories and work and to get it right. 

When I am not at work, I am spending time with my husband and three children, or I love nothing more than getting out on my kayak in the Abel Tasman National Park.

Felicity Higginson

Transcriber

I am Felicity, also known as Fliss.  I have a Bachelor of Education and Post Graduate Degree in Specialist Teaching.  I taught in primary schools for approximately 20 years before joining the team at Tasman Transcription. 

I love transcribing people’s stories and it’s a privilege to be trusted with other people’s experiences.  I have also enjoyed learning a new skill and terminology.

When I am not at work, I like spending time with my family and friends, especially all the wonderful local wineries that our region has to offer.

I have been working in administration for approximately 30 years, as well as owning my own website design company in the past.  I thoroughly enjoy working with the team at Tasman Transcription.

I particularly enjoy transcribing people’s stories, as I find they are very interesting.

When I am not working, I love to get out into the garden with my partner and to also spend time with our two cats.
